Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was pictured in the official Palestinian newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida newspaper on Wednesday holding a "stone model of the map of Palestine" that included the entire map of Israel, according to a report issued by the Palestinian Media Watch.

During the visit to a quarry in Bethlehem, Abbas – according to the story -- said the Palestinians could "create a miracle and build a civil and cultured state that could compete with the nations of the world." The story said the head of the quarry gave Abbas a statue of the map of Palestine.
