US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was interrupted several times by protesters at his rally on Tuesday evening (May 24), as dozens more clashed with police outside the event in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

At one point during his speech, Trump paused to watch several officers as they struggled to detain a female protester. "This is so exciting, isn't it?" he remarked.

The real estate mogul also addressed the small number of veteran protesters who had recently turned up outside his Trump Tower building in New York City.
