Regev: Za’atra can act as deputy to Assad, Haniyeh or Nassrallah

Culture Minister Miri Regev blasted the upcoming appointment of Raja Za’atra to become deputy mayor of Haifa in a statement Wednesday.

"Raja Za’atra can act as deputy to Assad, Haniyeh or Nassrallah," Regev said. "I did not expect him to apologize because he genuinely supports terror organizations."

"I call on Mayor Einat Kalisch Rotem not to appoint Raja Za’atra's second in command, Shahera Shalabi, as she also voiced her support for Hamas during Operation Cast Lead," Regev claimed. "We cannot allow such people to be have power over the People of Israel."
