Dozens were wounded in clashes between security forces and Palestinian activists in the east Jerusalem Issawiya neighborhood, Ma'an News Agency reported Wednesday.

The clashes broke out Tuesday evening between east Jerusalem youths and Israeli "police and soldiers" after the IDF arrested a Palestinian from his home who was accused of throwing stones at IDF soldiers, a Ma'an correspondent reported.

Witnesses said that IDF soldiers were also wounded in the clashes.

The IDF did not comment on the incidents.
