Police in Cyprus detained a Lebanese man suspected of planning a terror attack against Israeli targets on the island, possibly an Israeli airplane, AFP reported citing Cypriot media.

According to the reports, the young Lebanese man was found carrying a Saudi passport and had notes with details about Israeli airplanes.

The man, whose identity and arrest have not been confirmed by officials in Cyprus, reportedly had his remand extended by one week on Friday. He was arrested last week, according to AFP.
