A large explosion was heard next to one of the manned Border Police check-points at the entrance of the cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Tuesday night, reported the Border Police spokesperson unit.

A bomb disposal unit is on the way to the scene and the possibility this was a detonation device thrown at the officers is looked into.

There were no casualties.
