Sanders says contested convention is a certainty

US Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Sunday (May 1) said he will remain in the primary race for the White House despite calls from rival Hillary Clinton to quit and that, based on the delegate count, the Democratic party convention will be a contested one.
Sanders made the announcement during a news conference in Washington, D.C., and called on Democratic superdelegates, who are largely free to cast their ballots as they like during the party convention this summer, to vote in line with the majority of voters in their respective states.
