A Hizbullah official on Monday said the Lebanese terror group has stepped up security measures following January's killing in Dubai of Hamas arch-terrorist Mahmoud al-Mabhouh.
Hizbullah has also asked Lebanese authorities to boost measures at border crossings to prevent any would-be assassins from sneaking into the country.
The official said on Monday the group increased its own security measures but refused to give details. He spoke on condition of anonymity in line with Hizbullah's rules.

Dubai authorities, Iran and Hamas have accused the Mossad of being behind the killing. Israel, however, has maintained a policy of ambiguity on the killing, neither confirming nor denying involvement.
The assassination in 2008 of Imad Mughniyeh, a top Hizbullah operative who was killed in his car on a Damascus street, has also been attributed to Mossad.
On Sunday, Dubai police said Sunday forensic tests showed Mabhouh was killed in his hotel room by an alleged Mossad hit squad which first drugged him with a fast-acting muscle relaxant and then suffocated him with a pillow.
CNN quoted Tamim Sunday as saying that he is now “100 percent sure” the Mossad was behind the assassination. “I used to say 99 percent, but now I can say 100 percent,” he said.
Beyond being responsible for smuggling arms from Iran to Gaza andfounding Hamas’ military wing, Mabhouh was also involved in the 1989kidnapping and murder of IDF soldiers Avi Sasportas and Ilan Sa’adon.
