The director-general of the Israel Broadcast Authority Yair Aloni ordered that the Geneva Initiative advertisement be taken off the air.
The move comes after an Israel Radio investigation which raised suspicions that the Meretz-Yahad Party may have overstepped campaign finance laws by having large segments of its platform advertised by an independent organization.
