Hebrew University Professor Haim Levy awarded Israel Prize

Professor Haim Levy of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will be awarded the Israel Prize for the study of political science, managerial science and international relations, Education Minister Shai Piron announced Wednesday evening.Piron approved the recommendation of the prize committee headed by Professor Miriam Erez and offered his praise to the professor."Haim Levy is one of the central and prominent researchers in managerial science in the world,” the Israel Prize committee wrote.“He was among the founders of the country's first School of Business Administration at the Hebrew University. He has developed tools and methods for the analysis of decision-making and risk management under uncertain circumstances. He has published 19 books and written over 230 scientific articles, and in the second half of the 20th century he published more articles in his field than any other researcher in the world,” the Israel Prize committee noted.The Israel Prize is largely regarded as the state's highest honor. It is presented annually on Independence Day in a state ceremony in Jerusalem in the presence of the president, the prime minister, the Knesset speaker and the Supreme Court president.
