Nearly 100 people were injured across the northeastern region on Wednesday in a third day of violence after Spain's Supreme Court sentenced nine Catalan leaders to lengthy jail terms.
The call by separatists seeking Kashmir's secession from India was the first since that decision on Aug. 5, which brought communication and travel restrictions in Kashmir.
In the summer of 1915, the following appeared: “War is always the hardest on the Jews. They have no voice in the government. They are subjects of personal and official persecution.”
The first country to recognize Israel after its declaration of independence in 1948, the United States, was also the first to formally recognize Jerusalem as its capital.
