We are several months before the iPhone 16 announcement event, but already the network is full of assessments of the new models that Apple will launch for us. We have organized for you the rumors that appear on the net (among them from the MacRumors website), when you should take into account that all the information is based on estimates.

Bigger screens

iPhone screens are expected to grow. The iPhone 16 Pro screen will increase from 6.1 inches in the 15 Pro to 6.3 inches. The screen of the 16 Pro Max will increase from 6.7 inches in the 15 Pro Max to 6.9 inches. This is a significant change in the size of iPhone screens in several years. The larger screens will probably only come in the Pro models, while the two more basic models: 16 and 16 Plus will remain in their current sizes: 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. Their design is also not expected to change, apart from minor updates.

The excellent OLED screens that Apple uses in its models are expected to use a technology called Micro-Lens that will allow them to display stronger lighting for viewing in direct sunlight and also consume less energy, thus possibly improving the battery life of the smartphones.

The Action Button that Apple introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro and Max models is an upgrade of the sliding button designed for a quick transition between ring, mute and vibrate. The Action Button is able to perform various actions, such as activating the camera, flashlight and more.

Besides the Action Button, the iPhones are expected to have another physical button that is sensitive to touch, this one will be for the camera. With a light or strong touch, it will be possible to zoom in on the photo and also take the photo itself. In this way, the experience will be more similar to using a normal camera.

Apple also plans to change the structure of the lenses on the back of the iPhone 16, in both basic models. They will stand one below the other and not in a cube array like today.

The 16 Pro models will probably receive an upgraded photo sensor - 48 megapixels with a wide lens, which will improve photography in low-light situations. The 16 Pro model will receive the optical zoom capability of 5x, instead of only 3x that exists today. This type of optical zoom is currently available on the 15 Pro Max.

While the iPhone 15 only comes with WiFi standard 6 and the 15 Pro and Max with WiFi 6e (this device offers a significant improvement in browsing, thanks to the use of a 6 GHz frequency, which offers fewer disconnections and better browsing), the Pro models in the iPhone 16 are expected to include the device The newer - WiFi 7, this offers support for higher browsing speeds than the 6e.

The AI is coming to the iPhone

The hottest technology today in the world and in the mobile market is AI, while Samsung has already managed to implement it in the new Galaxy S24 models (and also in previous models through version updates), Apple is expected to offer it to its users only with the iOS 18 operating system and probably only for iPhone 16 models. It is also estimated that the AI capabilities will also reach older iPhones, but in the iPhone 16 the technology will be implemented directly in the smartphone and not in the cloud.

AI support will come through Apple's voice assistant - Siri, this will offer improvements in the messaging app, automatic creation of playlists in the streaming service - Apple Music and probably also photo editing capabilities in the camera.
