Pelephone announced today (Wednesday) that for the first time in Israel it activated an independent 5G network core that it established with the global company Ericsson with an investment of approximately NIS 50 million and announces the MAX G5 network. The company announced that starting today, customers will be able to sign up for packages based on the new network core and offering an improved customer experience: a wider content of browsing and calls, high traffic rates, low latency and network prioritization during congestion and events with many participants.

Customers will be able to enjoy the new packages with the entry of the network core into operational use already in the coming weeks. At the same time, the company for the first time demonstrated network deployment capabilities and network prioritization for gamers at the Tel Aviv port, and prioritization when flying drones in Hod Hasharon and demonstrated in the company's laboratory a speed of about 6 gigabytes, which is considered the highest measured by a cell phone. In a special survey conducted by Pelephone prior to the launch and carried out through the 2The Point research institute among 501 women and men aged 18+, who are a representative sample of this population in the State of Israel, it was found that 67% of Israelis usually upload documents to social networks at least once a week, with 91% of them usually doing so When they are during concerts and music events and 62% during sports events in which they take part.
