3,000 Israelis ask for medical advice on swine flu

The number of Israelis seeking medical advice for suspected swine flu more than tripled in the last two weeks, according to recent figures. In the first week of August, some 3,000 Israelis suspected that they had contracted the H1N1 virus, as compared to just under 2,000 in the last week of July and just under 1,000 the week before that. The Health Ministry forecast earlier in the week that a quarter of Israel's population would contract the virus.
