Bosnian wartime general freed by Austrian court

VIENNA/SARAJEVO - An Austrian court on Friday rejected a Serbian request for the extradition of a Bosnian wartime general and let him walk free, saying it could not guarantee he will receive a fair trial in Serbia.
Austrian police detained Jovan Divjak in Vienna in March under a Serbian arrest warrant on charges related to an attack on a Yugoslav army column in Sarajevo early in the 1992-95 war.
