Burma: Court rules pro-democracy party unlawful

Burma's Supreme Court on Friday ruled that the pro-democracy party led by Aung San Suu Kyi would continue to be deemed an unlawful association because it refused to register for the last election, reported BBC.
The NLD party's lawyer said the party could not carry out any additional legal challenge.
The court's ruling means that Kyi's party will remain outside formal politics in Burma as a new, military-heavy parliament convenes next week for the first time.
