Cairo sources: Egypt has released Hamas men from custody

Report Egypt has releas

Egypt has released almost all the Hamas men it had held in custody and has allowed them to return to the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio quoted security officials in Cairo as saying on Friday night. According to the report, in recent months, 51 Hamas men returned to Gaza from Egypt. Most of the men were arrested after Hamas blasted holes in the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Egypt last year. Last week, Hamas resumed calls on Egypt to release the detainees, after the brother of the group's spokesman in Gaza, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri, died in Egyptian custody. Hamas claim he was tortured to death, but Cairo has denies the accusations.
