Czech Christian group to march for Israel

A pro-Israel Christian group will march through the streets of Prague on Sunday to protest against anti-Semitism, and celebrate Jewish culture. The rally, called “Culture against Anti-Semitism” by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem – Czech Branch, which is organizing the event, will depart from the Old Town Square at 1 p.m. and walk towards Wallenstein garden carrying Israeli flags and banners.
“This event represents the annual climax of public activities of the Czech Branch of the ICEJ,” a press release said. “This year it will be held for the 8th time. Dr. Manfred Gerstenfeld, chairman of the steering committee of The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, and Mrs. Naomi Tsur, deputy mayor of Jerusalem, were honorable guests in previous years. This initiative has enjoyed wide support of the Czech political and cultural elite, showing that public sentiment in the Czech Republic is tilted towards Israel in a manner not really seen in other European countries.”
