Family of Hamas leader deny his death in Sudan attack

Family members of senior Hamas member Abdul Latif Al-Ashqar denied reports that he had been killed in the air-strike Tuesday in Port Sudan, Sudan that resulted in the deaths of two people in their vehicle, Palestinian news source Ma'an reported Friday.On Wednesday, Ma'an cited an anonymous intelligence officials as saying that Ashqar had been the target of the attack in Sudan, which according to the source was carried out by Israel.Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack.
