Former Shin Bet chief Perry joins Lapid's Yesh Atid

Former Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) chief Yaakov Perry announced Tuesday that he was joining Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid faction as a candidate in the upcoming Knesset elections.
Perry, who currently serves as the chairman of Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, said at a joint press conference with Lapid in Tel Aviv that "like many citizens, I felt that something basic here is not working. The way are lives are run here must change, not just the system of government."
