Israel would be '1st victim' of attack on Syria, Iranian official says

The “Zionist regime” would be the “first victim of a military attack on Syria” an Iranian Parliamentarian Hossein Sheikholeslam said on Monday.

The Iranian Fars News Agency quoted the remarks of the Director-General of the parliament for International Affairs who added that the Syrian army had high capabilities that could raise the “occupied territories.”

Mohammad Esmayeeli, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s Foreign Policy Commission said Monday that in the event of a Western led attack on Syria, “Russia will likely stand up to these threats,” Fars reported.
