Israeli, Chinese police officials meet

A senior Chinese police commander is in Israel for a five-day visit as a guest of the Israel Police. General Fun Wende, head of police in the Jiangsu Province, home to over 74 million residents, arrived on Tuesday as part of a new initiative aimed at cooperation between the two police forces.
Israel Police commissioner Insp.-Gen. Yochanan Danino held a dinner with Wende, attended by senior Israeli police brass, and signed a joint declaration of intent on maintaining cooperation.
The Chinese commander was briefed on Israel police intelligence and investigation techniques as well as technological aides to investigations.
He was also briefed on forensic police labs, the police academy and the elite Lebanon Border anti-narcotics smuggling unit.
