Lapid, Netanyahu to cut NIS 16b. off state budget

Finance Minister Yair Lapid and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu have agreed in principle on cutbacks in the 2013 state budget in order to decrease the deficit, Channel 2 reported on Sunday.
Cutbacks will affect the Defense Ministry and the Transportation Ministry, as well as stipends, particularly child support.
Maariv reports that NIS 16 billion will be shaved off the budgets of the ministries, as well as a NIS 4.5 cutback in the next year and a half off the addition to the defense budget.
