Microsoft, Dell, Cisco executives visit Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria  — Executives from some US technology companies have expressed readiness to develop cooperation with Damascus, Syria@@@s state-run news agency SANA said Wednesday.
SANA said the US executives from Dell Computer Corp., Cisco Systems Inc., Microsoft Corp., Symantec Corp. and VeriSign Inc discussed on Wednesday setting up authorized centers for these companies in Syria.
The executives met with Minister of Higher Education Ghayath Barakat.
On Tuesday, the delegation met Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdullah al-Dardari who urged American companies to invest in Syria and benefit from the opportunities available in his country.
