Navy cmdr: Soldiers acted correctly in flotilla raid

Israeli Navy commander Vice-Admiral Eliezer Marom said in a press conference Monday that IDF soldiers that raided the ship the Mavi Marmara, part of the Gaza-bound protest flotilla, acted with "perseverance and bravery."
Marom said that the soldiers lives were in danger and that they fired their weapons in self defense. He added that given the situation, many more than ten people could have been killed if the soldiers had not acted with the proper sensitivity.
The navy commander stated that the full responsibility for the violence lies with the organizers of the flotilla and those who took part in it.
