'Nuke codes went missing for months during Clinton admin.'

The codes that allow the US president to order a nuclear strike went missing for several months during the Clinton administration, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff wrote in a newly-published memoir, AFP reported on Friday.
"At one point during the Clinton administration - and until this day, to my knowledge this has never been released - the codes were actually missing for months, " former chairman of the Joint Chiefs Hugh Shelton wrote in his new book, according to the report.
The "comedy of errors went on, without President Clinton's knowledge I'm sure," Shelton wrote, until the codes were replaced, a process that takes place every four months, the AFP report said.
