OECD environmental delegation to arrive in Israel

A delegation of OECD environmental experts, accompanied by experts from OECD member countries, will arrive in Israel on Sunday for an 11-day stay to prepare the ground for an Environmental Performance Review (EPR). The OECD conducts EPR's every couple of years to help member states meet the OECD's requirements.

The delegation will prepare a report which the Environmental Protection Ministry will use to bring Israel into compliance. The delegation will look at a wide variety of environmental issues including pollution, transportation, water, waste disposal and recycling, tourism, emissions and more. The delegation will be meeting with government officials, local authorities and environmental groups.
