PM asked Neeman to stop 'outpost bill' from passing c'tee

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday asked Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman to prevent the "outpost bill" from being approved in the Ministerial Committee for Legislation.
According to the bill proposed by MK Zevulun Orlev (Habayit Hayehudi), petitions claiming private ownership of land in Jewish settlements may not be followed with demolition orders if the buildings are standing for over four years and the settlement has at least 20 families.
Netanyahu said that passing the bill into law at this time would damage the government's ability to negotiate with residents of the Ramat Gilad outpost, which the High Court of Justice ordered must be evacuated by the end of 2011.
