Police commissioner skips Knesset c'tee meeting on violence

Chairman of the Knesset Interior Committee, Shas MK David Azoulay, on Wednesday canceled a meeting to discuss police violence and violence against police because Police Commissioner Dudi Cohen canceled his attendance at the meeting.
Azoulay explained that Cohen@@@s participation is essential and it is impolite of him not to call and apologize for failing to appear. The MK added that in his opinion this exemplifies police violence against the Interior Committee, reported Israel Radio.
Police said in response that the office of the Police Commissioner made sure to inform the Interior Committee in advance, as is customary, that Cohen would not come to the meeting.
