Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch revealed on Monday that a member of his family has been threatened by organized crime families.
Aharonovitch told Channel 1 that "there is a very strong threat on my entire family." The minister refused to say which member of his family he was referring to, but one member of the Aharonovitch family is a police officer.
Aharonovitch said other top police officers were also threatened by organized crime families. "Those who threaten cops, intelligence officers, judges and mayors should be dealt with," Aharonovitch said.
