Saudi Arabia: 4 pilgrims die of swine flu before hajj

Saudi Arabia 4 pilgrims

The Saudi Health Ministry on Saturday announced the first four deaths from swine flu of this year's annual pigrimage to Mecca. In a statement, the ministry said none of the victims had been vaccinated and all became sick within two to three days of arriving in Saudi Arabia. The hajj, as the pilgrimage is known, is required of all able-bodied Muslims at least once in their lifetime. The pilgrimage has become a concern for world health officials because the density of pilgrims has raised fears of a spread of swine flu.
