Social protest leader Leef to highlight Limmud UK

Limmud UK will host historian Deborah Lipstadt, social protest movement Dafni Leef  and dozens other personalities at its week-long gathering in Coventry which starts December 23rd.
Some 2,500 people are expected to attend the educational confab being held at Warwick University this year. “This year we saw grassroots activists in country after country waking up and demanding a role in determining their own future,” said Limmud Chair Carolyn Bogush. “Limmud is a proven model of a successful grassroots, volunteer-led, cross-communal, multi-generational Jewish model to learn about our past, revel in our present and set the course for our future.”
Limmud began in the UK some 30 years ago and has since spread around the world. In 2011 some 30,000 people took part in Limmud events ranging from Los Angeles to Lithuania, Melbourne to Moscow.
