Turkey's Davutoglu says president likely to give mandate to form government on Thursday

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Thursday that President Tayyip Erdogan will probably give him a mandate to form a coalition government later in the day.
A June 7 election deprived Davutoglu's AK Party of a parliamentary majority for the first time since 2002. Erdogan, who founded the AKP, has sparked criticism for waiting more than a month after the polls to give Davutoglu the mandate.
Davutoglu was speaking to his party group in parliament.
