Turkey's Erdogan says to work with rivals on charter

ANKARA - Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan promised to work with rivals toward a consensus over a new constitution for Turkey after winning Sunday's parliamentary election with a reduced majority.
"The people gave us a message to build the new constitution through consensus and negotiation," he said in a victory speech to supporters from the balcony of the AK Party headquarters in Ankara.
"We will discuss the new constitution with opposition parties."
