Welfare minister: Poverty levels are 'intolerable'

Welfare and Social Services Minister Moshe Kahlon said poverty levels and wealth gaps in Israel are "intolerable" and must change Thursday.
Kahlon's comments coincided with the release of the 2010 poverty report
, which put poverty levels at 20 percent of families and 20 percent of all children.
Despite the problems, Kahlon acknowledged the report showed a "positive improvement in poverty indicators for the year 2010."
