A woman in her forties was found dead in her Nachlat Binyamin apartment in Tel Aviv, police reported Sunday. The police had received a call Saturday afternoon about a woman who was found unconscious in her apartment. At the apartment police found a friend of the deceased woman, a 78-year-old man who told police that he and the deceased had been using drugs and alcohol and that when he returned to the deceased woman's home, he noticed that the woman was not feeling well. The friend called for an ambulance but the woman died shortly thereafter. The friend was subsequently taken into police headquarters where he was arrested. The suspect will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for a remand extension hearing.
