Yacimovich questions Livni's slamming of Schalit deal

Labor Party leader Shelly Yacimovich on Sunday criticized opposition leader Tzipi Livni for voicing her opposition to the Schalit prisoner exchange deal after it was already completed and not while the public discussion of the swap was occurring.
"A true leader is tested in real time, even when it means expressing an unpopular opinion," Yacimovich said in a statement.
"Although I do not agree with Livni's opposition to the release of Gilad, she should have voiced her opinion while the public discussion was at its height without consideration of popularity," she stated.
Yacimovich added that a Kadima government had agreed to a similar deal in the past, and therefore her opposition to the deal now was unclear.
