Yisrael Beitenu MK questioned by police in fraud case

MK Shimon Ohayon (Yisrael Beitenu) on Monday gave testimony to police at the anti-fraud unit’s headquarters in Lod, in connection to a major corruption case involving several member of his party.
In a statement put out Monday afternoon, Ohayon addressed the reports that an additional member of Knesset was questioned earlier in the day in connection to the case.
“I was asked to come to the headquarters of the unit in Lod in order to give testimony. I came at the agreed upon time. Throughout the entire testimony the police from the LAHAV 433 unit were kind to me, and it all lasted less than an hour.”
A spokeswoman for the LAHAV 433 unit said that no additional parliamentarian had been questioned under caution on Monday, but would not confirm nor deny that any had been asked to give testimony to police.
