Young mother found shot to death in Umm al-Fahm apartment

A 30-year-old woman was found slain in her apartment in Umm al-Fahm on Sunday, with gunshot wounds to the upper body, Coastal sub-district police said.

Sub-district spokesman Eran Shaked said that the woman's preteen son was found wandering the street outside the apartment in the city when police arrived at the murder scene, but they still don't know if he was at home at the time of the shooting or witnessed his mother's murder.

Shaked said that so far police haven't made any arrests but they have clear investigative directions saying they believe that the motive was some sort of family or romantic dispute, and not related to any random violence or organized crime. He added that he had heard that the woman was divorced, but was unsure if she had remarried or not.
