A woman was detained after being spotted waving knives around the street near the Avia Shopping Mall in the city of Beersheba, the police said on Tuesday.
According to a video shared of the event, the woman, who was deemed mentally unstable, was waving knives in the street while running, singing, and dancing.
She was later reduced by a soldier and a security guard in the vicinity, after missile sirens started sounding in the city.
"According to initial suspicions, there is no suspicion of this being a security incident," the police said in their statement.
Court indicts three suspects of lynching Jewish boy in Huwara
Three suspects on Tuesday were indicted for being involved in a serious lynching of a Jewish boy in Huwara, Israel Police said in a statement.
According to the investigation, the three suspects are among many who participated in the lynching of a Jewish boy who entered the Palestinian village by mistake on January 1.
After the attack, the suspects left the boy unconscious, thinking he was dead, while security forces were deployed to find him upon receiving reports of the event.
The indictment was submitted following a joint investigation by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Investigations and Intelligence Department of the Judea and Samaria Border Guard.
Indictment filed against Jerusalem resident for sexual offenses against minors
In a separate event, a 61-year-old Jerusalem resident was indicted for sexual offenses against seven minors after an investigation by the Jerusalem District Police.
Yitzhak Avraham Ruth Ariel Assulin was arrested on March 4 and is being accused of committing serious offenses by seven minors aged 10 to 16 living in the city.
According to the investigation, the suspect provided one of the victims with a secret cellphone to continue communicating even when their parents opposed it, while another victim was assaulted and almost kidnapped.
In one such case, a 16-year-old victim was seen by a passerby shouting, "Save me, this person wants to kidnap me." After that, the suspect removed him from his vehicle and fled the scene.
Along with the indictment, a request was filed to continue his detention until the end of the proceedings, the police announced.
Drugs, firearms, and tens of thousands of Shekels
In another investigation, over 10 kilograms of substances suspected of being marijuana and hashish, dozens of grams of a substance suspected of being cocaine, hundreds of pills of prescription drugs suspected of being psychoactive substances, and suspected of being intended for illegal distribution were seized by the police in East Jerusalem.
Additionally, five M16 rifle cartridges, pistol holsters, a ceramic vest, and cash totaling NIS 37,200 were also found during the raid on the compound, which was done as part of the operations to combat the scourge of drugs and the possession of illegal weapons in Israel.
In a separate operation, two suspects were arrested while being in possession of dozens of hard drug packets of heroin and cocaine in Jaffa, the Tel Aviv District Police said on Tuesday.
The individuals, 41 and 38 years old respectively, attempted to lock themselves inside the compound where the drugs were being stored and were detained after the police broke down the door. Additionally to the narcotics, the police found NIS 6000 in cash inside.
Bottles with flammable liquids, fight against illegal constructions
In Ariel, the police detained two 15-year-old teenagers who were filling bottles with a flammable liquid at a gas station.
The police seized their belongings and detained them for questioning at the Ariel police station.
In southern Israel, seven individuals were arrested during an operation to fight land takeovers and illegal construction in the Bedouin city of Rahat.
According to the investigations, the suspects were preventing the legal owners of the plots from exercising their rights and building their homes as part of legal regularization procedures.
