Iran was planning to bomb an Israeli ship while it crossed the Suez Canal, Egyptian daily Al Ahram quoted Egypt's state security court as saying Saturday.According to the report, Iranian agents offered two Egyptian men 50,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately NIS 30,000) to carry out the attack.Egypt detained the two men last week after receiving information of the planned attack. Sources told state news agency MENA that a resident of the canal-side city of Ismailia, Soliman Abdel Razek, had planned to carry out the attack from land alongside the waterway, with the help of a colleague, Salama Ahmed.Both men denied the accusations.Al Ahram reported earlier in the month that two Israeli warships crossed the Suez Canal.
