Croatia, a NATO member, was preparing to buy 12 used F-16 Barak fighters from Israel in order to replace its aging fleet of Soviet-designed MiG-21s.
The production line, which will last around 20 years, is expected to generate revenues of over $2.5 billion during the next 10-15 years.
“The aircraft improves the capabilities of the Air Force and the heavy transport division,” read a statement released by the IDF’s Spokesperson’s Unit.
