Proposed Knesset legislation that would give Diaspora Jewish leaders a formal role in Israeli affairs may herald a new era in Israel-Diaspora relations.

"Let me be clear: Denying the Jewish freedom of religion implies denying the ability for Jews to live in Europe."

During the tours, Yankelevich emphasized that the ministry is committed to assisting financially with Jewish education in the Diaspora.

"We stand on the brink of a historic era of peace for peace...of peace that has grown and expanded between Israel and the Arab world," Netanyahu said.

Yankelevitch shared that she had already spoken with UAE Jewish community president and that the two agreed to “establish a mutually fruitful relationship"

The discussion with Yankelevich "reflects the ever growing Israeli consensus surrounding the application of sovereignty in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley," the Sovereignty Movement said.

In order to promote a shared vision of the Jewish future, we aim to draft – together with key figures from around the Jewish world – a new Declaration of Jewish Peoplehood.

"Many young Jews feel the need to help advance poor sectors in the world. Israel can be where they decide to focus those efforts."

The principle recommendation is that the government formulate a comprehensive and strategic plan to “guarantee the future of the Jewish people."
