Comeback rapper Shyne unveiled his newest song called “Solar Energy” on Sunday evening in front of a sea of photovoltaic panels at the Ketura Sun field launch ceremony, which celebrated the opening of Israel’s first solar field by Arava Power Company.Shyne calls solar energy “the remedy to stop the world dependency” on oil in his “solar power anthem,” condemning oil as an “abomination” and meanwhile praising “Arava design,” in an unofficial version of the new song lyrics, provided to The Jerusalem Post.RELATED:Rethinking nuclear powerA Rapper and a HassidSolar field capable of powering 33% of Eilat okayedAfter years of incarceration for a New York City club shooting, the Belize-born Jew, and one-time chart topping rapper, became observant during his imprisonment and now lives in Jerusalem’s Old City. Co-founder and president of Arava Power Company Yosef Abramowitz originally met Shyne at a mutual friend’s Shabbat dinner. “No oils, barrels. Powered by the sun,” the song says in the unofficial lyrics. “Solar energy. The revolution has begun.”
