A 4.5-year-old sustained a serious head injury on Monday night when she fell from the roof of a building near Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda market.

Apparently the girl's father had climbed a ladder up to the roof of their Nachlaot home with her in tow. She slipped out of her father's arms and fell to the ground, hitting her head in the process.

An emergency response team resuscitated the girl, who had lost consciousness, then transferred her in critical condition to Hadassah University Hospital at Ein Kerem.
