International hacker group Anonymous has launched a campaign called Operation Intifada which includes the bold goal of hacking the Knesset website, Israeli media reported Tuesday. An online statement on a anarchist website blog and a Facebook page stated the organization's aim, with the Facebook page containing articles relating to the Israeli treatment of upcoming Gaza flotilla.

Hackers wrote that cracking the Knesset website would be unwelcome by Israeli authorities, despite the Israeli use of cyber attacks in Iran such as the Stuxnet virus.

Anonymous is a loosely organized international group of hackers who seek anarchy through disrupting government and law enforcement networks.
