Maoist rebels staged a synchronized attack on government forces in India early Tuesday morning. The rebels attacked soldiers stationed at a post in the Dentwada district and later ambushed the rescue forces who arrived at the scene.

Indian Interior Minister called on the rebels to cease fire and enter negotiations. Such attacks have intensified in the last years.
