Authorities on Thursday said that they have detained a number of suspects in connection to possible arson fires that have spread throughout the country, causing tens of thousands to evacuate their homes.

"The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) along with the police have detained several suspects and were taken in for questioning in connection to possible arson fires that affected multiple places areas across the country," read a statement released by Israel authorities.
