During the Yom Kippur holiday security crossings into Israel from the West Bank will be temporarily closed, according to a statement released Thursday by the IDF spokesperson unit.

The crossings will close at midnight Thursday and will open again at midnight on Saturday in accordance with security assessments adopted by the defense establishment.

According to the statement people in need of medical attention will be permitted to cross into Israel for medical care. The passage of humanitarian aid as well as doctors, medical personnel, NGO members, attorneys, and additional professionals will be coordinated by the Civil Administration.
