Chief censor says Wikileaks exposure verges on anarchism

The exposure of diplomatic cables by Wikileaks is an unprecedented event that verges on anarchism, Israel Radio quoted Chief Censor, Col. Sima Vaknin-Gil as saying on Monday.

Vaknin said that it represents a breakdown in conventional journalism, editing, and personal responsibility. She noted that although this event is not relevant to censorship, the practice does not work in a world of anarchy, but only when there is responsible journalism.
